Shrewsbury School will host an exciting Festival of Cricket next week as Shropshire’s Development XI, featuring some of the best young players in the county, have the chance to take on Academy teams from three first-class counties.
Durham, Northamptonshire and Lancashire are all bringing their Academy sides to Shropshire for a round-robin tournament, which starts at noon on Tuesday (July 12).
The action on both Wednesday and Thursday will get under way at 11am, with spectators welcome to attend.
“It will be a very good standard and a good experience,” said Karl Krikken, Shropshire’s director of cricket.
