Shropshire County Cricket Club will be hosting its annual Pure Telecom hospitality day at Wrekin College on Thursday, July 11.

Hencote Vineyard have gifted this year’s marquee prize, where one lucky winner will experience staying in one of their luxury glamping lodges and dining at The View restaurant in Shrewsbury. The winner will also receive a bottle of Hencote’s 2018 Evolution Sparkling.

This is the 13th consecutive year the event has been hosted and provides a great networking opportunity for businesses across Shropshire. The cricket day is the largest event in the Shropshire businesses calendar and is regularly attended by around 700 guests.

Owner of Hencote Vineyard, Andy Stevens, said: “This a significant Shropshire event and we are delighted to be a part of it this year. We will be providing a very special prize for the marquee which allows the winner to experience all that Hencote Vineyard has to offer.

“The event is a great networking opportunity and invites companies from all over Shropshire to attend in order to raise money for a number of great causes. We are looking forward to being part of the event this year and for many years to come.”

Toby Shaw, Chairman of Shropshire Cricket Club, commented on Hencote’s generosity: “It is a wonderful gesture from Hencote Vineyard and we are delighted they are involved with our special event for the first time,” he said.

“It will add some extra sparkle to the day and we are looking forward to welcoming our guests to Wrekin College.

“This event is enjoyed by so many people from the Shropshire business community each year and it’s a fantastic opportunity to network in relaxing surroundings while enjoying some excellent cricket.”
