Showcase games to not take place in 2020 as delay to the first-class domestic cricket season is extended

The delay to the first-class domestic cricket season has been extended until August 1, with recreational cricket remaining suspended until further notice.

This announcement means that the showcase games between National Counties Cricket Association clubs and first-class counties will not be taking place in 2020.

Shropshire had been scheduled to face Derbyshire at Shifnal on Friday, July 17.

The NCCA remain hopeful that some cricket will be played later in the summer and are keeping all options open to ensure the best opportunity to play some cricket.
