Shropshire’s Academy team will play their final fixture of the season when they host Lancashire Academy in two Twenty20 matches at Wrekin College on Friday.

Shropshire have selected a squad of 13, to be captained by Wellington’s Dan Lloyd, with the opening match starting at 11.30am.

Ian Roe, Shropshire’s Academy coach, said: “We’re looking forward to Gary Yates bringing Lancashire’s Academy side yet again to Wrekin College.

“It’s our final fixture of the season and our first since playing in the Four Counties Twenty20 Day at Worcestershire’s Blackfinch New Road earlier this month.

“Thank you to Wrekin College for once again making their excellent facilities available to stage the game and for also sponsoring the Academy for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

“Ahead of the final fixture, thanks to my fellow Academy coach, Dave Nock, for all his input on the coaching side and also Ed Ashlin from Cricket Shropshire for his support.

“And finally a big thank you to the players for their commitment and efforts throughout the season and how they have represented the Shropshire Academy and the county club”
